About a month ago, I was sleeping over at a good friend's house and a mutual friend named, Bob, was also with us.
I was on the couch when a shape appeared to the right of me. It was a man with a hat on. I didn't see it head on but I just knew that it was a 'he' and he was wearing a top hat. Kind of looked like the wood cut-outs painted black that you see leaning up against mailboxes out in the country, if that makes sense to anyone. Bob point blank asked me what I just saw. I was so shocked that I almost didn't tell him for fear he would think I was nuts. I did end up telling him and he said, that's what he thought. Huh? He told me that he sees them constantly, especially at night when he is trying to fall asleep. He said they flood his room when the light is off so he has been sleeping with the light on since he was a teenager. He told me they were called Shadow People. I have never heard that term before and when he said it, it raised the hairs on my arms.
This is why I visited your website. I have been seeing shapes for about the last 10 years of my life, always in specific areas of the houses that I was living in. Never really paid them much attention to them because I thought they were a figment of my imagination. He told me they haunt him on a regular basis. When I say "haunt" I mean that when they are around him he feels totally paralyzed, can't talk or move and it happens in the middle of the night and they wake him up. He has since tried to communicate with them mentally, as he can't talk, but they don't respond. He hates it but has learned to calm himself down when it happens because it happens so often.
Apparently he researched "shadow people" and there are various links to years past where people have experienced the same apparitions and they called them witches or witch something. These "witches" would catch you in a state between consciousness and sleep. If they did, most people said they could not move or breathe and these witches would sit on their chests. For some opposite reason Bob feels that they are alien in nature (he just senses it) and asked me if I have ever experienced anything alien-like. Hairs on my arms rose again.
One night I was sleeping in a different bedroom at my parents home with my boyfriend (parents were gone away and the queen bed in the spare room looked more comfy than my twin). I woke up in the middle of the night and I couldn't move. I wasn't scared but I was fully aware of my surroundings and I couldn't move or talk. There was a window to the right of the bed and a really bright white light started shining through. I wanted to wake my boyfriend up but I was paralyzed. I couldn't believe that he was still sleeping as the light was shining directly in his face. I didn't see anything but my mind told me it was aliens, like their ship was outside my window or something. I knew this was impossible as the house next door was like 10 feet way from our house. I never believed in aliens so I don't know why I felt so strongly that it was, too much TV as a kid maybe? I don't remember much after that other than waking up in the morning. It was so real to me that I had to ask my boyfriend if he had seen or heard anything weird that night. He said no so I just kept it to myself.
Since that night I told Bob my secret I have not experienced another "shadow person" or anything strange. If you want to post this on your site I have no objections.
