Subject: My Experience
When it happened, I didn't shrug it off, I knew it was real and that it meant something, I just didn't know what until now.
I just finished reading an article about inter-dimensional beings and there was a section on Shadow People. The story I read was that of a young girl, sleeping in her new bedroom in her new home for the first time. She woke up to 4 shadow people in her room, in stationary positions.
This story instantly hit me and jolted my memory.
When I was 7 years old, my family moved from the city to a new house in the country. I was given my choice of bedroom, and although the third bedroom was larger, I chose the second.
My room was the first to be set up in the new house, so my parents stayed up during the night to unpack and organize the house.
I remember waking up in the middle of the night, and was a little confused about where I was. Being in a new house and a new bedroom layout, this was expected. When I sat up in bed I immediately noticed a male figure sitting at the foot of my bed, with one leg kind of seated on the bed as if he was turned to face me. There was another man sitting at my desk which was against the wall directly beside my bed. I can't remember if he was facing me or the wall. And the third man was standing just beside my bedroom door facing the wall. I remember this being kind of funny because I had a Leonardo DiCaprio calendar (this was the year Titanic came out and I was obsessed) on the wall he was facing, so I've always thought that maybe he was looking at DiCaprio. All the figures had very broad shoulders like a man, and had no sign of hair. They were a ‘black’ shadow but solid enough that I could make them out, even in my dark bedroom.
I don't remember being scared or anxious. Like I said, I knew they were real and there but I couldn't really make sense of it at the time. After seeing the figures, I remembering laying back down and closing my eyes, and when I looked back up, they were gone.
I told my parents about it and they chalked it up to me having an active imagination.
Throughout my life I feel that I've seen and felt things that weren't physically there, and I've always believed those feelings were real. I've sworn up and down my entire life that this really happened and that those figures were in my bedroom.
I wanted to share my story with people who may have experienced similar encounters and what their thoughts are about it.
I hope to learn more about these shadow figures.
