I am an 18-year-old girl from a small town just north of Toronto and I have been seeing Shadow People for several years now. The first few times I saw them, they were just figures that I happen to catch from the corner of my eye, and I dismissed them as nothing, until one evening.
I was in the car with my mom, and she was driving. It was about 8 or 9:00 at night and it was just getting dark enough to not be able to see distinct features in anything in the absence of lights. We were just pulling into my driveway when I noticed a figure in the shape of a man running out of the house. My first thought was that it was my brother. When I looked again, the figure had disappeared, and my brother ran out seconds later in the same form that the Shadow had just seconds earlier. Now again, I would have dismissed this as nothing, but later that evening, my mom confessed that she had seen something and she described the same image I saw.
Since that day, I have been more vigilant when I see shadow people, but still was in a state of denial of what I had seen until just recently. My friend whom I had not seen for years was telling me all about EVP and other paranormal phenomenon, and I didn't believe a word he said. When he asked me if I had ever had any weird experiences, I confessed my Shadow People sightings, and he showed me tons of websites where people like me had similar experiences. Now I am a firm believer that this phenomenon IS real and not to be taken lightly.
On another note, I also seem to see some sort of apparitions. Again, driving home from work one night, I came over the top of a hill on a dirt road, and braked suddenly when I say a deer just standing in the middle of the road staring at me. When the car had stopped, the deer was gone. Several weeks later, coming over the same hill I again saw a deer in the same position that the 'ghost deer' was before. Only this deer was real. I stopped, and it just stared at me, then finally walked away.
The deer was different than the Shadow People I see. The deer looked so real. I could see in vivid detail every little characteristic, whereas Shadow People are just black blurs in human shapes.
Also, my grandmother recently passed away and a couple months after her death, I moved into her apartment which my family inherited. Everything was fine until one morning when I was coming out of the bathroom after having a shower, I looked down the hall in the direction of her old room (I don't know why), and there she was; sitting on the edge of her bed, she looked alive and well but her face looked sad. She had something in her hands. Maybe a book, or pamphlets of some sort... I don't know as I was unable to get a proper look at it. I was shocked, but intrigued, so I slowly walked in her direction, and she just vanished. Not quickly, but just faded and disappeared.
I have had several other experiences with the paranormal but these were the most interesting.
If anyone has had similar experiences, I would be interested in talking with you all.
